- Displays an amber hue and presents intense, rich aromas of candied fruit and toffee. The palate, while sweet, offers a refreshing balance, exhibiting remarkable complexity derived from the ageing process. This complexity results in the emergence of caramel notes intertwined with the sweetness of citrus fruits, ultimately culminating in a delightfully prolonged finish.
The bunches of grapes were carefully harvested and then hung up to dry for approximately two months in a well-ventilated room. The dried grapes were rigorously selected and pressed; the resulting must be transferred into small oak barrels known as cavatelli. The barrels were not filled to the top to allow controlled oxidation. Following oxidation, the barrels were filled to make them airtight and the Vin Santo was left to age for approximately five years.
Amber in colour with intense, heady aromas of candied fruit and toffee. The palate is sweet, with balancing freshness and shows lovely complexity from the ageing, which delivers caramel notes with sweet, citrus fruits through to a deliciously long finish.

Winery | Cantina Bonacchi has been making fine Tuscan wines for three generations. The wines are produced from 40 hectares in the Chianti Montalbano area, 10 hectares divided between Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino, and 20 hectares in the Chianti Classico area. Modern technology and family expertise enable Bonacchi to offer excellent products from its four estates in Tuscany. The vines are grown in the Chianti Classico zone in marl and limestone soils. The simple Guyot-trained vines are manually harvested at optimal ripeness. |
