Its velvety smooth palate presents a luxurious texture and concludes with a long, graceful finish. A generous and silky texture accompanies the rich, ripe, black, plummy fruit on the nose and culminates with lingering notes of sous bois and vanilla on the finish.

The grapes were hand-harvested and macerated at low temperatures to extract colour, flavour, aromas, and tannins. Fermentation occurred in stainless steel tanks using natural and selected yeasts and was maintained at approximately 26°C. The wine was made in an unoaked style to reveal the vibrancy of the cool-climate fruit.
A vibrant Merlot with Morello cherry, blackcurrant, and blackberry aromas layered with hints of spicy nutmeg and aromatic herbs. Smooth on the palate with a soft texture and a long, fine finish.
The 2022 vintage stood out for its balance between health, quality and yield. The temperatures were low in winter but did not affect the buds. However, some frosts in October caused concern, where temperatures were as low as -4°C, but the vines escaped damage. ‘It was a good quality harvest with excellent colour and overall acidity. I am convinced we will have excellent wines ahead of us in 2022,’ enthused Manuel Gonzalez Bals, Chief Winemaker.

Winery | The grapes were grown in vineyards located in Tupungato, at over 1,300 metres above sea level. The area is characterised by its wide diurnal temperature range, which produces grapes with a great intensity of colour and a distinctive aromatic expression. The vineyards are adequately irrigated through a drip management system, which provides exactly the right amount of water the plant needs. Canopy management in the vineyard controls yields and produces small, concentrated berries with perfect sun exposure. The vines are organically grown in alluvial, sandy soils and are manually harvested at optimum maturity. |
