Winery | Raices' translates as Estate and the grapes for this wine come from vineyards located in the Uco Valley, Mendoza, at an altitude of 700 metres above sea level. The soils are poor in organic matter, which encourages the vines to send their roots deep into the soil in search of nutrients and water, resulting in subtle complexity. The climate is warm, with very little humidity, which provides naturally ideal conditions for premium viticulture. The espalier-trained vines are irrigated in furrows, and the pruning and canopy management is tailored to each site to keep the yields low. Thus, the vines produce bunches of small berries with concentrated fruit flavours and aromas. The vineyards are cultivated sustainably to protect the biodiversity of the flora, fauna, and soil and to preserve the land for future generations. |
