- A wine characterized by varietal aroma, the intense fruit hints are accompanied by notes of jam, spices, coffee and tobacco. It is well structured and elegant, with noticeable yet sweet tannins through the long finish—the first ever produced Supertuscan in Montalcino in 1985.
Fermentation in temperature-controlled (25-30°C) Horizon hybrid French oak and stainless-steel tanks followed by ageing for 18 months in 350l. French oak barrels (40% new - 60% five years old maximum)

Winery | The vineyard’s soil is composed of various types, from sandy clay sediments with abundant pebbles and well-draining to calcareous clay soils that tend to retain humidity. The vineyards are mainly located in Montalcino, famous for its microclimate and soils—trained on spur cordon and the Banfi Alberello (Gobelet) bush vine system. The planting density is 4,200 vines/ha, yielding 60 q/ha. |
