- Bright straw yellow, this wine’s tempting and multi-faceted aromas offer nuances of ancient roses, geranium, pineapple, and apricot. This wine is surprising on the palate, deftly combining hints of ripeness with an original mineral and acidic seam. The finish is sapid, fresh and long-lasting.
Slow and soft mechanical pressing using traditional Coquard presses ensures softer pressing of the grapes and a unique separation of the must, followed by cool decanting. The must ferments in small oak barrels, 15% new and the rest 3-4 years old for 12 months, followed by a further year in bottle.

Winery | The SS. Annunciata vineyard is located on Mount Orfano, like the monastery from which it takes its name, built in 1449. The friars who inhabit this mystical, spiritual retreat chose Bellavista to revitalize a one-off vineyard whose origins date back to the turn of the first millennium. Consisting of 5.45 hectares, the slope enjoys a Mediterranean climate and comprises two separate soils, one above and the other below a tree between them. Two plots require specific care, separate harvesting and different winemaking procedures for their grapes to create a small cuvée. The 35-year-old vines are Guyot-trained and cultivated sustainably, yielding 80 quintals of grapes per ha. |
