Winery | The grapes for this wine are mainly sourced from the vineyards in Padthaway, South Australia. The vineyards have sandy loam over clay soils, which were formed on old lagoon sediments. These sandy soils don't retain much water or nutrients, which helps concentrate the grapes' flavours. The vines are grown on single-wire trellises to ensure an open canopy. Drip irrigation is used in the vineyards to manage water supply and reduce evaporation by applying water directly above the roots. The grapes are harvested during the cooler nights to retain their freshness. Ralia, where the soils are sandy loam over clay, formed on old lagoon sediments.
