- Norton’s “Signature Winemaking” range represents the pinnacle of their production. All the wines under this umbrella are hand-crafted in limited quantities, using grapes from the oldest vineyards and the most unique sites on their estates. Each wine is designed to offer the maximum expression of the particular site from which it comes, together highlighting the rich array of terroirs available to David Bonomi, Norton’s chief winemaker.
- It has an intense, dark, ruby-red colour. Complex and elegant aromas reflect the wine's character, which includes red fruit, spice, and minerality. The wine is dominated by the velvety and harmonious tannins of the malbec, a complex black fruit that persists in a long and vibrating taste.
This exclusive blend is a tribute to Gernot Langes Swarovski, one of the winery’s founders. Made with a careful selection of the best Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grapes from our vineyards in Uco Valley, this wine is aged in French oak barrels for 16 months and in the bottle for an additional 14 months. Each of the 4,998 numbered bottles embodies the spirit and vision of our winery.

Winery | In 1885, the Buenos Aires to Mendoza railway opened, cementing the significance of this emerging wine-growing region high in the Andean foothills. One visitor to Mendoza, an English engineer called Edmund Norton, was so struck by the beauty and potential he saw there that he established a winery bearing his name and 1895 planted the first vines in Mendoza’s Lujan de Cuyo district. Almost a century later, Gernot Langes-Swarovski was similarly struck by Mendoza and its vineyards; in 1989, he acquired Bodega Norton and transformed it into the world-renowned winery it is today. Both men rightly recognized the special nature of the area. The altitude moderates the temperature at 900-1,100 meters while exposing the vines to more ultraviolet light. The result is whites packed with a vibrant flavour, good natural acidity, and well-structured, food-friendly reds. |
