- The wine presents an intense bouquet with a delightful blend of red and black fruit aromas and subtle hints of spices and oak. It boasts a rich and well-structured profile on the palate, promising an enriching tasting experience. Patience is key with this wine, as it gradually unveils its inherent raciness and remarkable distinction. It's worth noting that this wine has excellent ageing potential, making it a compelling choice for those looking to savour its evolving depth and complexity over time.
Bursting with aromas of peonies, rose petals, blood orange, and wild berries, it's medium to full-bodied, layered, and incisive, its pungently perfumed core of fruit built around lively acids and fine, elegantly chalky tannins. This is well worth seeking out.

Winery | The first traces of vineyards at Aloxe-Corton date back to the 2nd. Century B.C.. Later, Le Corton became Charlemagne's favourite wine. In the 19th century, Guy de Maupassant contributed to its reputation by calling it the “roi des bons vivants” in his famous novel “Bel Ami”. Corton is the only red Grand Cru on the Cote de Beaune and the only Grand Cru on the Cote d’Or to be divided into “sousclimats”. “Le Corton” is the historic vineyard which gave the name to the Corton appellation. |
