"Our vineyard is dedicated to producing benchmark New Zealand red wine, carefully crafted from the most flavorful and exquisite grapes. Our commitment to quality and attention to detail result in an amazing and unparalleled wine experience." Saint Clair Neal and Judy Ibbotson pioneered the Marlborough wine industry, planting vineyards in the valley in 1978 and establishing the Saint Clair Family Estate in 1994. They own 160 hectares of vineyard in 10 different Marlborough locations chosen specifically for their individual "terroir" attributes and ability to produce top-quality grapes. Neal Ibbotson combines his extensive expertise in viticulture with the talent of one of New Zealand's leading winemaking teams. The vines are sustainably cultivated, and the estate holds the Sustainable Wines of New Zealand certification. Since 1994, when wines from the first vintage all won medals, including gold, the name Saint Clair has been synonymous with quality, and its award-winning record continues today. This sentiment is shared by Bob Campbell MW, who says, “Saint Clair now makes the country’s and perhaps the world’s best Sauvignon Blanc”. Lake Chalice Lake Chalice was established in 1989 with a vision of producing internationally recognised wines from the heart of the Marlborough region. New Zealand’s native falcon, the ‘Kārearea’, is proudly displayed on every bottle of Lake Chalice wine. Kārearea favours the remote mountains and foothills of the upper Awatere and Wairau Valleys, and these valleys are home to Lake Chalice’s three unique vineyard sites. Each vineyard has a diverse microclimate, biodiversity, and terroir, seamlessly translated into multi-award-winning wines by talented winemaker Chloe Gabrielsen. Taking a boutique approach, she handcrafts parcels of fruit from single vineyards into elegant, aromatic, fruit-driven wines and has garnered a global reputation for outstanding quality. Certified ‘Sustainable Winegrower of New Zealand’. Rockburn Rockburn started as a hobby for Richard Bunton in 1991. He planted a few hectares of vineyard in the then pretty much unknown area of Central Otago. In 2005, the winemaker, Malcolm Rees-Francis, arrived from Felton Road, where his skills immediately reaped the rewards when he won the Elite Gold Medal and the Young Antipodean Winemaker of the Year award. Following an ecological philosophy, the vines are sustainably cultivated, and the estate holds the Sustainable Wines of New Zealand certification. This is a very exciting new arrival on the world Pinot Noir stage; Rockburn is one of the very best producers of Pinot Noir in New Zealand.
