- The wine is a rich and savoury orange, displaying a complex and harmonious bouquet characterized by delicate citrus aromas with subtle notes of Mediterranean herbs. This wine exhibits intensity and elegance, with prominent minerality and a long, refreshing finish.
The grapes were carefully selected to vinify the highest-quality fruit. Fermentation occurred on the skins in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures of 16 to 18°C and lasted 24 to 30 hours. The pigment, phenols, and tannins from the skins imparted the wine with a deep colour, and this skin-contact method is referred to as an 'Orange' wine. The wine was matured for eight months in 400-litre ceramic tanks.
It is a rich and savoury orange wine with a complex and harmonious bouquet of delicate citrus aromas underpinned by subtle notes of Mediterranean herbs. It is intense and elegant, with marked minerality and a long, fresh finish.

Winery | The grapes are grown in the municipality of Monteforte Alpone, in the Veneto region. The vineyard is situated on volcanic hillsides where the soil is rich in clay and basalt. The vines are under organic conversion and are cultivated without synthetic treatments. The family business has been handed down through the generations of the Tessari family since the early 1900s. The estate was renamed Ca'Rugate in 1986, taking its name from the volcanic hills where the vineyards are located. Now run by the fourth generation, Michele has brought a lively, passionate, and entrepreneurial spirit. Considerable expansion has occurred in recent years, with investment in a new technologically advanced cellar, expansion into the Valpolicella area, and the purchase of vineyards in the hilly zone of Montecchia di Crosara. The estate now covers 90 hectares of vineyard. Ca'Rugate has been awarded the prestigious 'Tre Bicchieri' award rating from Gambero Rosso multiple times, making it one of the most awarded producers in the competition, and has been hailed by the New York Times as one of the "Top Five producers of High-End Soave". |
