- This Vermentino offers a delightful and refined profile. It presents fragrant floral aromas that gracefully unfold into a lively and invigorating citrus palate. The wine is impeccably balanced, with a delightful mineral undertone that lingers through the long and vibrant finish, leaving a lasting impression of freshness and sophistication.
The whole bunches of Vermentino grapes were pressed immediately to avoid oxidation. After 24 hours of cold sedimentation, the must was racked. Fermentation took place with selected yeasts at cool temperatures in stainless steel tanks to retain the purity of the fruit and the characteristics of the Vermentino variety. Weekly stirring of the lees took place to optimise the lees contact, imbuing the wine with volume and texture.
This is a fresh and elegant expression of Vermentino. Aromatic floral notes lead to a brisk and zesty citrus palate, beautifully balanced with a lovely mineral sensation on the long, vibrant finish.

Winery | The Campo alle Comete winery is at the foot of the Castagneto Carducci hill. The oldest vines are planted around the cellar surrounded by the Mediterranean bushland. The proximity of the sea, with its constant refreshing breezes, plays an important role in the vine’s growth and in the maturation of the fruit, where the fresh breezes impart natural balancing acidity to the sun-ripened fruit. The Guyot-trained Vermentino vines are planted in light, sandy, warm, airy soils with good drainage properties. The vineyard is cultivated following organic principles, involving only copper and sulphur preparations. The grapes are hand-harvested and brought immediately to the cellar for vinification. |
