- This wine is smooth and approachable, with alluring perfumed aromas of ripe cherry and subtle hints of Morello cherry. The palate is soft and fruity, exquisitely balanced by a refreshing character complemented by a touch of spice.
Each variety was vinified separately following careful cluster selection and grape destemming. Fermentation occurred at controlled temperatures and underwent maceration for eight to ten days, imparting colour, flavour, and gentle tannins. After a gentle pressing, the wine was blended, and then 80% was gently transferred to stainless steel tanks to retain the pure fruit flavour, while 20% was matured in French oak of second use to impart delicate complexity.
Smooth and approachable, it has perfumed aromas of ripe cherry and hints of Morello cherry. A fresh character with a touch of spice beautifully balances its soft, fruity palate.

Winery | Rosso Piceno is the largest DOC of the Marche region in Central Italy. The area is made up of hilly terrain, ideally suited to viticulture. The Sangiovese and Montepulciano grapes come from a vineyard 250 to 300 meters above Sealevel. The soils are based on clay, which, combined with the sloping topography, is crucial for draining excess soil moisture. A Mediterranean climate is found throughout DOC Rosso Piceno, with an average annual rainfall of 800 millimetres, mainly falling during winter. This builds soil water reserves to nourish the vines in hot and dry summers. The vineyards are cultivated following organic principles; herbicides and pesticides are not used, allowing for the terroir's full expression. The grapes are manually harvested when they have reached optimal ripeness. |
