Fermentation occurred in temperature-controlled vats, followed by a skin contact maceration to extract colour, flavour and fine tannins. The wine was transferred to a combination of oak barrels and Slavonian and French origin casks for a minimum of 12 months. It was then transferred back into stainless tanks briefly before bottling. The wine was bottle-aged in temperature-controlled cellars for 10 months before release.
Rich, velvety, full-flavoured and warming, with hints of vanilla and raspberry, this is a fine Chianti Classico with silky tannins and a generous finish.

Winery | The quaint hilltop villages of the Chianti Classico region lie in the beautiful olive and cypress-studded countryside between Florence and Siena. The wine of the same name is produced exclusively in this charming and beautiful area on stony soils. The Carpineto estate is surrounded by eight hectares of Sangiovese and Canaiolo, cultivated sustainably using precision agriculture principles. The soils of sedimentary composition have a clayey schist structure, locally called galestro, and are found in one of the coolest climates of the entire denomination. |
