- Upon first tasting, an evident delicate gingerbread note makes an expressive initial impression. As it aerates in 2014, it reveals a dynamic and intricate palate with a beautiful interplay of freshness and tension. The wine exhibits lively notes of citrus fruit, lime, and gooseberry, culminating in a lingering finish with a distinct mineral and saline quality.
To give the wine even greater richness and complexity, the Millesime 2016 is aged for at least seven years in Collet's centennial cellars, dug deep into the chalk.
After aeration in 2016, an expressive initial impression of delicate gingerbread reveals a dynamic palate with beautiful freshness and tension, with citrus fruit, lime, and gooseberry, through to a mineral, saline note on the finish.

Winery | A balanced blend of 12 Premiers and Grands Crus villages was selected during the 2014 harvest. 60% Pinot Noir gives the wine its structure, and from MaillyChampagne, Tours-sur-Marne, Avenay-Val-D'Or, Verzy, and Pierry, it brings power and elegance to the blend. 40% Chardonnay from iconic villages such as Vertus and Avize bring richness, softness, and elegance. The Villers-Marmery Premier Cru completes the blend, adding a mineral dimension and a touch of smoke. |
