Winery | The House of Laurent-Perrier was established in 1812 and is located in the heart of the Champagne region at Tours-sur-Marne. Owned by the Nonancourt family, it remains the largest independent 'Grande Marque' Champagne House. Careful selection of grapes, full attention to all stages of the winemaking process, and ageing of each wine according to its needs are the requisites for developing each wine's character. Laurent-Perrier Champagne was founded by Eugène Laurent in Tours-sur-Marne in 1812 and remains family-run today. While known first and foremost for the Cuvée Rosé, Laurent-Perrier is now one of the most highly regarded Champagne houses due to the quality of its entire range. Their champagnes are all vinified by winemaker Michel Fauconnet, using grapes sourced from sustainably farmed vineyards in 55 villages. The ‘La Cuvée’ Brut NV is a blend of 55% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir, and 10% Meunier. It ages for four years on its lees with less dosage than usual, at nine grams per litre residual sugar. Created in 1968, the Cuvée Rosé blends 100% Pinot Noir from 10 villages. The rosé colour is achieved by a short maceration of the Pinot Noir for 48 to 72 hours. The rosé is then cellared for at least five years before its release. The Brut ‘Millésimé’ is made only in the best years, blending Chardonnay exclusively from the Côte des Blancs with Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims. The ‘Grand Siècle’ Brut is a Chardonnay/Pinot Noir blend from three exceptional vintages, aged for a minimum of eight years. |
