The Essence of Perfection in a Bottle
The Laurent-Perrier Grand Siècle No. 26 Grand Cuvée represents the pinnacle of Champagne craftsmanship. This exceptional vintage is born from a meticulous blend of three outstanding years, each chosen for its complementary qualities. For Laurent-Perrier, vintage Champagne is not simply about selecting one perfect year; it is about creating the perfect year through the art of assemblage, which can offer a complexity and balance that nature alone cannot provide. This philosophy has been the cornerstone of Laurent-Perrier’s approach to its Prestige Cuvées since the introduction of Grand Siècle.
Aged to Perfection for Depth and Complexity
The Grand Siècle No. 26 has been aged for a remarkable 10 years on the lees in bottle format, with the magnum format benefiting from even longer aging to enhance the complexity and character of the wine. This extended maturation period results in a Champagne that boasts a profound depth, aromatic complexity, and a vibrant freshness that will continue to evolve over time.
The unique process behind the Grand Siècle series ensures that, over time, it develops an exceptional aromatic profile, with a refined balance of richness and vibrancy. Grand Siècle in Magnum (150cl) is deliberately aged for a longer period, allowing the wine to express even greater depth, density, and an exquisite, silky texture.
A Legacy of Excellence
Since its inception in 1959, Grand Siècle has been revealed only 26 times in bottle format and 23 times in magnum, making each release a rare and celebrated event. The Grand Siècle No. 26 Grand Cuvée embodies a legacy of excellence, showcasing the perfect harmony of age-old traditions with the artistry of modern winemaking.

Winery | The « Grand Siècle » (Great Century) is the name given to one of the most prosperous periods (17th century) in the history of France. It is known for the capacity of man, through his works, to create what nature cannot. Louis XIVth, known as the « Sun King », created the « Château de Versailles » and its gardens by creating this harmony, balance, and perfection model. The symmetry and perspective of the « Jardins à la française », the capacity to grow Mediterranean fruits (especially Oranges inside the « Orangerie ») in such a Northern climate, creating the Grand Canal, the fountains and ponds with no nearby rivers are many illustrations of this ability of man to sublimate natural elements. The name of Grand Siècle was chosen for Laurent‑Perrier’s Prestige Cuvée based on this common vision to reach a perfection that Nature, on its own, cannot provide. |
