- This particular Champagne was crafted as a tribute to Sir Winston Churchill, a noted aficionado of Pol Roger's Champagnes. It presents an alluring, bright golden hue with a steady, fine stream of bubbles. The Champagne exhibits a rounded, creamy texture with delicate notes of brioche and sweet spice, complemented by citrus flavours and floral aromas, as well as subtle undertones of toasted nuts and honeycomb. It achieves a harmonious balance and concludes with a prolonged, luxurious finish.

This is a big, sweeping Sir Winston Churchill endowed with layers of perfumed ripe pears, quince, flowers, and spices in a style that balances a generous fruit expression with acidity and minerality. Everything is in the right place in this delicate yet deeply satisfying Champagne. This bottle was disgorged at the beginning of 2007.
