Winery | Château La Coste is a stunning amphitheatre-shaped estate near Aix-en-Provence, bought in 2002 by Irish businessman and hotelier Patrick McKillen. His ambition has been to produce exceptional wine in a unique destination, harnessing his art world connections and hospitality experience. Dotted among 130 hectares of organic vineyard are over forty buildings and art installations from the world’s greatest architects, including Richard Rogers, Frank Gehry and Renzo Piano, plus artworks by contemporary figures such as Louise Bourgeois, Tracey Emin and Damien Hirst. Restaurants by Francis Mallmann and Hélène Darroze provide a gastronomic setting for visitors to experience the crisp, characterful wines of the estate.
