- A fresh, aromatic, unoaked Claret Shows vibrant aromas of ripe fruit reminiscent of soft plum and cherry. It is well structured with round and silky tannins, and notes of cherry echo on the palate through to a delicate hint of spice on the finish. The grapes were picked at the optimum maturity levels. Fermentation occurred with selected yeasts in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, retaining Merlot's characteristics while preserving the terroir's essence. This wine was bottled after 12 months of ageing in stainless steel vats.

Winery | Chateau Lestrille Capmartin wines are full-bodied, with structure and personality. The Chateau is located at the northern point of the Entre-deux-Mers appellation in the small town of St. Germain du Puch between Libourne and Bordeaux. Following the philosophy that winemaking lies in the vineyard itself, sustainable winegrowing practices are used to respect the balance of the soil. Talented winemaker Estelle Roumage combines strict selection with a tailor-made approach to vinification. Each parcel is vinified with minimal intervention to respect and optimize the characteristics of the vintage and terroir, with subtle oak aging, creating charming wines with the utmost appeal. The estate is certified Haute Valeur Environmental (HVE) Level 3. The vineyards are managed using sustainable viticultural practices. The utmost respect is given to the balance between the vines, their natural environment, and the soil. These cool clay and silt soils provide good water retention and impart a powerful quality to the final wine. This cuvee is made from plots that produce the fruitiest Merlot. |
