It is a vibrant and light-bodied wine with aromas of raspberries and cranberries and a refreshing, saline finish.
The grapes were destemmed and cold macerated at 4°C for a week to carefully extract the fruit flavours from the skins. A brief fermentation took place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Maturation and ageing continued in the tank until the following spring, retaining the freshness and purity of fruit from the Refosco dal Peduncolo variety.

Winery | The grapes were produced in the Corno di Rosazzo, Premariacco, Cividale del Friuli and Faedis territories within the DOC Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Spur Cordon and Guyot training methods are used on the vines, which are planted at a density of 4,600 to 5,000 per hectare. The soils in the vineyard are mainly made up of marl and clay, which offer good water retention properties that will help sustain the vines through the warm summers. Gentle sea breezes come from the Adriatic Sea, which keeps the vines dry and healthy, while the Alps protect the vineyards from cold, northerly winds. Warm days and cool Nights offer the perfect combination to allow the grapes to mature slowly, maintaining a beautiful balance between natural acidity and sugar levels. |
