Case size 6/ 75cl - Complex aromas of ripe blackberries are balanced with warm vanilla notes and a touch of subtle spice. The palate has an excellent, rounded structure, and aromatic complexity lasts through to the finish. A classic Rioja, Conde Valdemar Crianza judiciously combines fruit and oak. This Spanish red wine is made from a blend of 90% Tempranillo and 10% Mazuelo, coming from estate-owned vines. It is Aged for 13 months in American oak barrels.
- It shows a medium-high intensity, clean, and bright red cherry colour. On the nose, it displays an intense aroma of black fruits (plum and blackberry), well integrated with hints of oak and notes of sweet spices. It is tasty on the palate, with a smooth, pleasant, and fresh entry. It has a long and persistent finish with touches of black fruit, spices, and liquorice.

| Winery | Unusually for Rioja, all the Valdemar grapes come from the family’s vineyards (almost 300 hectares), giving unrivaled control over the quality of the fruit at every level. Grapes for the Crianza are grown on alluvial and chalky-clay soils in Oyon (Rioja Alavesa), Logrono (Rioja Alta), and Ausejo (Rioja Baja). Harvest took place during the first week of October. |
