- Rich, fruity, exotic Zingy tropical fruit, lychee, quince, hints of citrus. The fruit was picked when ripe to achieve a full, viscous style. Grapes were fermented at 16°C with aromatic yeasts, and the juice was left on lees for a few months to build some weight and complexity. The wine was then put on a small amount of French oak to add roundness and texture.
Deakin Estate's vineyards are located in the Big Rivers region, where the mighty rivers weave across the land, bringing life to the region and our vines. Rich, fertile soils and a warm, sunny climate also create a perfect environment for growing quality fruit to make these delicious wines.

Winery | Deakin Estate was established in 1967 and named in honour of Alfred Deakin, a former Australian Prime Minister who pioneered irrigation in this arid region. It was recently acquired by Calabria Family Vineyards, a third-generation family-run business with a history in winemaking dating back to 1927. The family is proud owners of vineyards in Riverina and the Barossa Valley and sources grapes from local growers across Australia’s best wine regions. |
