2015 Echézeaux: (from a total area of 1.06 ha with 60- to 65-year-old vines in the climats of Les Treux and Cruots that have .63 ha and .43 ha, respectively). Once again subtle but not unnoticeable wood surrounds the slightly riper and liqueur-like aromas of black cherry, sandalwood, Asian spice elements and a lovely array of floral scents. There is both excellent volume and concentration to the opulent and seductively textured flavors that coat the palate with dry extract on the markedly firm finish that is very much built-to-age. There is a hint of warmth but other than that, this is very impressive.
