- There's an almost marine intensity as a sea-glass pebble dropped into a rough and fashioned clay mug of dried-orange, wakame seaweed and nettle tea. Grapefruit tucked into dune grass green. It has density and lime-leaf texture and is always the mark of a truly outstanding white wine - is as complex and balanced at room temperature as cold. No hurry to drink it, although it would be hard to resist right now

The grapes are pressed in a pneumatic press followed by spontaneous fermentation using natural yeast from the grapes. 60% of the wine is aged in a 600-litre new barrel for 9 months, and the rest in stainless steel at the controlled temperature on fine lees. The lunar cycle guides the vinification process.

| Winery | Corty Artisan “Caillottes” comes from a 9.95-acre single plateau named “Les Champs de Cris” in Les Loges, overlooking the Loire, giving wines with density, complexity and superb minerality. The vineyards are sustainably cultivated according to HVE3-certified practices with limited intervention. The soil is ploughed, the only fertilizer used is organic and only when necessary. |
