- Napanook contains fresh, aromatic bramble flavours, savoury dried herbs, and earthy notes. Showing incredible purity and elegance, this is a genuinely excellent second wine.
A model for its sustainable farming practices, the Napanook vineyard has been hailed for its dry farming, which shuns watering the vines, spurring them to draw on the land’s unique geology. Meticulous viticultural and winemaking practices are undertaken to produce pure, balanced and complex wines. Minimal intervention throughout the process of grape selection, fermentation and ageing preserves the character of the fruit. The resulting wines are an expression of this unique vineyard. This vibrant red has lilac, boysenberry, liquorice and lively tannins.

Winery | A historical site, it was the source of the finest Napa Valley wines in the 1940s and 1950s. Notably, the vineyard’s history can be traced back to Napa Valley’s beginnings, when George Yount, for whom the town of Yountville was named, first planted grapevines there in 1838. Today, the vineyard produces three wines: Dominus, its flagship, Napanook, and Othello. |
