- The 2019 Nancie Chardonnay has a fantastic structure for such a young wine, and its youth brings the party to the palate with lively peach pit, flinty minerality, and juicy quince. The acidity is very chalky and pleasantly mouth-coating. Be sure not to serve too cold, as you will suppress the aromatics.
Our Nancie Chardonnay always emphasises Old Vines, dry farming, and California heritage clones and selections. Every vintage of this wine embodies elegance and class, but no vintage is the same. The assemblage changes yearly, and Nancie does not have a recipe for it. This wine lets us sit shotgun while the cool climate and terroir navigate, and they never steer us wrong. It is genuinely an inimitable wine.

| Winery | We love the way Nancie captures the classic qualities of Chardonnay while exhibiting the unique attributes of each of the unusual sites we source from. The blend includes fruit from our dry-farmed estate, Obsidian Vineyard. Yet, the core of the wine is from the original Nancie site of Farina Vineyard on Sonoma Mountain and fruit from the 45-year-old vines of Lazy W Ranch in the Russian River Valley. Together with the Obsidian Vineyard fruit, this blend is complex and elegant in a way we never cease to appreciate. |
