- Spice, Black Cherry, Black Plum, Blackberry. Made from 100% Syrah and a selection of old vines between 20 and 50 years old. The wines are lighter than most in the Northern Rhone because the east-facing vineyards have less direct sun during ripening. Aged 16 months in new oak barrels with whole red berry fruit and supple tannin.
The Guigal family's meticulous approach has earned them a reputation in the Rhône Valley as world-class winemakers. They even make their barrels to get the very best from each vintage. This is an exceptional 100% Syrah red from one of the northern Rhône's up-and-coming regions, Saint-Joseph. It's made from vines that are up to 50 years old. This maturity makes for a real concentration in its red fruit flavours.
