Perdriel is a unique Terroir established in the first wine-growing area south of the Mendoza River. The Perdriel terroir has a thin, loose profile made up of sand, silt, and clay (60-30 – 10%), in which boulders abound at a depth of no more than one meter.
The top layer is thinner than the area average, decreasing the water-holding capacity. Because of this, Perdriel grapes are highly concentrated, generating wines with greater body, intensity of colour and flavour, and a high predisposition for ageing.

| Winery | Perdriel represents one of the vineyards under the ownership of Bodega Norton and contributes significantly to the supply of grapes for the primary wine selection. However, select high-quality grape lots are segregated and subjected to a distinct vinification process to present a nuanced expression of the Luján de Cuyo terroir. These wines are distinguished by their intricate, savoury characteristics, minimal emphasis on fruit, and heightened mineral notes, and are manufactured in notably restricted volumes. This is the original Norton property, where the winery is located. With a hundred years of continuous cultivation, it consists of 100 hectares, almost entirely planted 950m above sea level, with vines aged between 30 and 50. The terroir offers a combination of poor soils and cold air from the mountain, producing aromatic and concentrated white and red grapes, perfect for making powerful and elegant high-end wines. It excels in the Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Malbec varieties. |
