- A vivacious style of wine with spicy flavours of fresh herbs, liquorice and summer pudding fruits.A complex and typical Xinomavro, showing aromas of ripe red berries, strawberries, dark cherries, liquorice, sundried tomatoes, and delicate spice. It is full-bodied and structured on the palate, with a rich depth of fruit, concentrated savoury notes, and a touch of oak. The velvety tannins lead through to a persistent and aromatic finish.
The grapes were hand-picked into 20-kilogram containers and chilled to 4°C before vinification. They were then destemmed and cold-soaked for 48 hours in the fermentation vats at low temperatures between 8°C and 12°C. Fermentation took place with selected yeasts and lasted seven to ten days at controlled temperatures that did not exceed 25°C. When the malolactic conversion was complete, the young wine was cold-stabilised. The wine was made in an unoaked style to preserve the purity of the fruit.
Notios ('The Southerner') is a youthful style of wine with a refreshing, velvety texture and intense, persistent aromas of ripe red and black fruit. Soft tannins underlie a well-structured palate through to a delicious, vibrant finish.

Winery | Agiorgitiko is a fragrant red wine grape native to Greece's Peloponnese peninsula. This wine is produced from exceptional mature grapes cultivated in a low-yielding, non-irrigated vineyard on the hills surrounding the Nemea wine region. The soil structure consists of a shallow clay layer of approximately 70 to 80cm on the lime soil. This type of clay retains humidity and releases it back to the vines when required, thus helping to monitor the water stress in the vine naturally and producing concentrated flavours in the berries. Notios in Greek means 'The Southerner'. |
