- The structure is dense but elegant. It has a lingering finish with refined tannins. Each GAJA Barbaresco faithfully expresses the production year and is suitable for long bottle ageing. The flagship wine of the Gaja family is Benchmark Nebbiolo, blended from 14 vineyards. The final result is sumptuous and supple.
The Nebbiolo vine is particularly affected by the slight differences in the various soil types. The blend of the grapes from the 14 vineyards stresses the features of the different terroirs, thus creating a complex and balanced wine. The bouquet smells of soft fruits, flowers, delicate spices, and mineral notes. The structure is dense but elegant. It has a lingering finish with refined tannins. Each GAJA Barbaresco is the faithful expression of the production year and is suitable for a long bottle ageing.

Winery | 14 vineyards situated in the municipality of Barbaresco. Between 250 and 330m above sea level, the land covers 21.4 hectares. The plants are 40 years old on average. The grapes from every vineyard undergo fermentation, maceration, and ageing in oak for 12 months. Then, they are blended and further aged in oak for another 12 months.
