The magnificent Haras de Pirque estate occupies a privileged position at the foot of the Andes in Chile’s Maipo Valley region. The lovingly tended vineyards are on largely north-facing slopes, from the middle of which rises a unique horseshoe-shaped gravity-flow winery inspired by the estate’s other claim to fame: as an internationally renowned thoroughbred breeding farm.
Albis expresses the typical aromas of the Maipo Andes Valley on the nose with its pleasurable spice and graphite notes. The palate is supple and elegant, with excellent length and persistence and a long and continuous finish and aftertaste. It is a wine capable of giving its best in the future.

Winery | In the 1990s, Marchese Piero Antinori discovered the Haras de Pirque estate, a property then owned by the Matte family. In 2001, he started a joint venture with them to create Albis, the winery’s flagship wine, and helped to enhance the quality of the estate-grown fruit through sustainable and organic vineyard practices. In 2017, the Antinori family acquired the whole property, and they were determined to invest in this exciting new journey fully and created the Galantas Gran Reserva. Today, this brand is known for making one of the best Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenere wines not only in Chile but in the world. The wine estate is in a scenic location known as Pirque, one of the heritage-rich places in the Maipo Valley. Located at the foothills of the Andes Mountains, this estate is blessed with excellent climate, soil quality, terroir conditions and altitudes to grow flavour-rich and intense fruits. |
