- Deep notes of black cherry infused with dark chocolate, full of flavour, make this a classic example of this uniquely South African red wine. Distinctively rich ruby, it has bold aromatics of dark chocolate, stewed fruit, spice, and hints of coffee. Silky tannins over a backing of integrated oak ensure elegance and balance with an endless finish.
Ernst subscribes to the French philosophy that the quality of the grape is inextricably linked to the ‘terroir’, so he travels to various regions throughout the Western Cape and handpicks his grapes in the areas where they naturally grow at their very best. The vines are grown in sustainably certified vineyards. This is a classic example of this uniquely South African red wine. It is a distinctively rich ruby colour, with bold aromatics of dark chocolate, stewed fruit, spice, and hints of coffee. The silky tannins and integrated oak on the palate ensure elegance and balance and lead to an endless finish.
