- This wine is full-bodied and spicy, with refined aromas of blackcurrant and plum jam enhanced by violet overtones. The warming embrace on the palate is beautifully balanced, with subtle toasted notes on the finish.
The grapes were fermented with selected yeasts at 18 to 28°C in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Maceration on the skins took place to extract aromas, flavours and colour. The wine was aged in oak barrels for at least six months before being cellared for two years, favouring the development of classic Mediterranean characters.

Winery | The Cannonau grapes for the Riserva come from the Alghero vineyard. Cannonau is a late-ripening variety that thrives in Sardinia's hot, dry conditions. The vines are grown in the warm and sandy seaside vineyards, combined with the harsh and rock inland soils of the hills. The vines are trained according to spurred cordon methods and have an average age of 18 years. They are planted at a density of 4,000 vines per hectare. The climate is typically Mediterranean, which is positively influenced by the proximity of the sea, with mild winters, warm, dry summers, and favourable diurnal temperature differences. The Mistral wind, which is often rich in saltiness, combined with the proximity to the sea, impart the wines with saline notes and minerality. The vineyard is cultivated sustainably; tree-lined avenues surround the vines and Mediterranean scrubland to encourage biodiversity. Integrated management is used to combat vine pests. |
