Jackson Family Estate Stonestreet Upper Barn Chardonnay 2015
Jackson Family Estate Stonestreet Upper Barn Chardonnay 2015
- Country USA
- Region Sonoma County
- Grape Chardonnay
- Case 6/75
- Stargazer lily, Asian pear, lemon custard and an enticing spice note flood the nose, while the palate mirrors those qualities alongside a saline underpinning. The texture is opulent and elegant, exhibiting the delicacy of fruit and a quartz-like transparency that only age and a superb site situated at 1,800 feet can bring to a wine. This wine is extremely well integrated with a lingering, mouthwatering finish that begs for another sip.

The Upper Barn is our most transporting Chardonnay, and the 2015 vintage is no exception. Stargazer lily, Asian pear, lemon custard and an enticing spice note flood the nose, while the palate mirrors those qualities alongside a saline underpinning. The texture is opulent and elegant, exhibiting the delicacy of fruit and a quartz-like transparency that only age and a superb site situated at 1,800 feet can bring to a wine. This wine is extremely well integrated with a lingering, mouthwatering finish that begs for another sip.

Winery | Situated on the west side of the Mayacamas Mountain Range overlooking northern Sonoma County, our patchwork of 170 micro-vineyards spans peaks, valleys, and ledges at elevations ranging from 400 to 2,400 feet. We cultivate vines in 26 soil types on slopes and aspects impractical to farm—to see how the land tastes when it becomes wine. We focus on Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay, seeking exemplary quality. The rewards of high-altitude farming are profound: small, thick-skinned grape clusters of highly distinct character, each site revealing unique flavours, textures, and structures that reflect the immediate surroundings. |
