???? Tasting Notes
The Kooyong Clonale Chardonnay 2021 is a striking cool-climate Chardonnay crafted from hand-selected parcels grown in the Tuerong and Balnarring vineyards on Australia’s Mornington Peninsula. On the nose, this wine offers fragrant aromas of grapefruit zest, fresh pear, and white nectarine, subtly enhanced by hints of almond meal, nougat, and a creamy, nutty undertone. Delicate flinty notes and soft oak spice bring aromatic finesse.
On the palate, Clonale is refined yet vibrant, with flavours of lime, citrus blossom, and juicy white stone fruits. Lees ageing contributes a creamy texture, while a fine phenolic grip and bright, zesty acidity provide structure and a refreshing, lingering finish.
