- An aromatic and concentrated Southern French blend bursting with ripe red berry fruit and spicy overtones, it is silky and smooth on the palate with fine tannins and a hint of licorice on the finish.
Each variety was vinified separately, using traditional techniques of destemming and maceration to slowly and gently extract the colour, flavour, and delicate, smooth tannins and the vatting period lasted for three weeks, encouraging full flavour development. The wine was made with minimal intervention and without the influence of oak to allow the full expression of the terroir.

Winery | The vineyard is situated in the heart of the Côtes de Roussillon, on clay and limestone soils surrounded by the two ranges of the Corbières. Part of the estate extends under the Cathar castle of Quéribus on black schist soil. The shale is beneficial as it stores the sun's heat and radiates it at night. The Grenache and Carignan particularly benefit from this and reveal exceptional sugar concentration. The grapes for this wine come from old vines carefully selected for their low yields of 28 hectolitres per hectare. The region benefits from the warm Mediterranean climate, which is tempered by cooling sea breezes. The vines are cultivated organically and sustainably; the sexual confusion of predators is employed as an alternative to insecticides, biodiversity is preserved, and the use of cover grass is an important source of organic matter, promoting the soil's activity and biodiversity. Part of the estate is certified organic, and the remainder is being converted. The vines are hand-harvested at optimum maturity. |
