- A perfumed and generous red wine from the South of France, it has expressive notes of ripe cherry layered with hints of garrigue, cocoa, and liquorice on the elegant finish. Vibrant aromas of red fruits, blackcurrant, and black cherry lead to an ample and generous palate, with expressive notes of ripe cherry layered with hints of garrigue, cocoa, and liquorice on the elegant finish.
The fruit was carefully selected to ensure only the best grapes were vinified. Each variety underwent fermentation separately with selected yeasts, with a long maceration in concrete vats to ensure the maximum expression of varietal character and the terroir. This cuvée was carefully crafted without the use of oak.

Winery | Situated in the heart of the Maury appellation in the Côtes de Roussillon, on clay and limestone soils surrounded by the two ranges of the Corbières. Part of the estate extends under the Cathar castle of Quéribus, on black schist soil; the name of the Maury appellation comes from the local dialect for ‘the black lands’. The shale is beneficial as it stores the sun's heat and radiates it at night. The Grenache and Carignan particularly benefit from this and reveal exceptional sugar concentration. The grapes for this wine come from old vines carefully selected for their low yields of 25 hectolitres per hectare. The region benefits from the warm Mediterranean climate, which is tempered by cooling sea breezes. The vines are cultivated organically and sustainably; the sexual confusion of predators is employed as an alternative to insecticides, biodiversity is preserved, and the use of cover grass is an important source of organic matter, promoting the soil's activity and biodiversity. Part of the estate is already certified organic, and the remainder is being converted. The vines are hand-harvested at optimum maturity. |
