- A beautifully crafted Pinotage shows elegant, silky, ripe strawberry and cranberry fruit. Bright notes of cherry, wild strawberry fruit, and ripe raspberry are interlaced by hints of spice and earthy notes. This wine is pure fruit-driven, with supple tannins, and reveals a fresh and elegant expression of Pinotage.
Whole berries were naturally fermented in open-top fermenters, and soft techniques were used to extract colour, fruit, and tannins. To add complexity, the wine was aged 10 months in French oak foudres and barrels.
This beautifully crafted Pinotage shows wild strawberry and ripe raspberry interlaced with hints of spice and earthy notes. The purity of fruit and silky tannins reveals a fresh and elegant expression of South Africa's signature variety.

| Winery | The vineyard is located on the fertile slopes of the Olifantsberg Mountain Range, where it endures vast diurnal temperature differences and strong winds at altitudes from 250 to 450 meters above sea level. During the winter, the mountain peaks are snow-covered, keeping the vines dormant for longer. Cold winters and the summer winds ensure the grapes' slow ripening, help maintain healthy vines and contribute freshness and elegance to the wines. The soils in the vineyard comprise a unique sandy shale with a clay subsoil, which lends structure to the resulting wine. The Pinotage trellised vines are 11 years old and are farmed sustainably. |
