- A refreshing and expressive Picpoul, with floral nuances, stone fruits, and zesty citrus notes through to a long, delicious, and mouthwatering finish. At the end of the pressing process, the ‘coarse lees’ were separated from the clear juice, filtered and vinified separately. They were then reincorporated if their aromatic quality was deemed to be interesting. The wine remained on its lees until the following spring, with regular stirring to impart aromatic complexity and richness to the palate.

Winery | The Picpoul de Pinet appellation overlooks the idyllic Thau Lagoon and its oyster huts. Here, the culture of the vine is paramount, and some plots of land have maintained their size and position since ancient times. Piquepoul Blanc is a fresh, zippy variety responsible for the Picpoul de Pinet wines that have helped put this flourishing French region on the map. The terroir comprises clay-limestone plateaus rich in Cretaceous limestone and quartz pebbles. The vineyards are dominated to the north by limestone hills dating from the Jurassic period. The Ormarine vineyards are cultivated using sustainable practices known in French as la lutte raisonne, and since 2018, the winery has been certified by Terra Vitis. The use of sexual confusion of predators is used to limit phytosanitary treatments. |
