- Grenache by any other name, Cannonau here gives a typical rendition of peppery summer berry fruit, full to begin with, then nicely dry on the finish. Sardinia’s mixture of grapes matches its location. It has also shared the Vermentino with Corsica and Italy and received input from Spain in Cannonau (Grenache). Peppery- summer berries- smooth Intense ruby red colour with violet hints, obvious. It has a very intense, fresh, and immediate aroma with notes of ripe red fruits and vegetables. Dry and smooth to the palate, good structure, and nose-palate persistence.

Cannonau is the main red grape of Sardinia; the DOC Cannonau is one of the most well-known. It's a flower that grows here in the vineyards. That's why we call it I Fiori (the flowers), which ranges from Sardinia's other classical, traditional wine varietals. The Flower on the label is the Aquilegia Nuragus, one of Sardinia's two hundred endemic species, a symbol of its diversity. It grows in the Gorroppu Canyon (Gennargentu National Park), with only ten plants left and protected. His original colour is the one used in the Nuragus label.
