- A subtle hint of violets and herbs laces the warm mint chocolate and black pepper core. This is a wonderfully enticing and silky cool-climate Shiraz. Spicy, blackberry and plum aromas are complemented by lifted floral notes from a dash of Viognier. Lively blackberry and plum flavours follow on the palate, with hints of black pepper. This is a wonderfully enticing and elegant cool-climate Shiraz with fine-grained tannins, a silky texture, and a long, harmonious, savoury finish.
The berries were destemmed, and 5% Viognier was co-fermented in two-tonne open stainless steel fermenters. This was followed by 11 months of ageing in French oak barriques, of which approximately 10% were new.
