- Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels (the percentage of new wood varies with vintage), this wine offers Enticing flavours of cassis and violet that complement a remarkably silky and elegant palate—a garnet-red colour with brilliant highlights. The nose is expressive and complex, marked by aromas of ripe red fruit: forest berries, redcurrants, subtle notes of peony and elegant hints of ageing. The wine is delicious on the palate, with aromas of raspberry and sweet spices—a lovely tannic structure that gives way to a hint of sweetness on the finish.
