- This elegant and velvety smooth wine is produced from the oldest vines and exhibits concentrated notes of raspberry and cherry with mineral and peppery overtones. The vineyards are cultivated sustainably, following the Agriqualità standards. This family-run winery produces award-winning wines known for their incredible structure, elegance, and longevity.
The carefully selected fruit was vinified in temperature-controlled 100-hectolitre stainless steel vats. Fermentation occurred with selected yeasts at approximately 24 to 26 °C, followed by a 10-day maceration at 28 to 30 °C to extract the colour, flavour, and tannins. Daily tastings ensured the desired levels of extraction were achieved. The wine was aged in 20 to 25-hectolitre Slavonian oak vats for 30 months.
Produced from the oldest vines, this elegant and velvety smooth wine shows concentrated notes of raspberry and cherry with mineral and peppery overtones.

Winery | The Pinino estate vineyards are located north of Montalcino, embedded like a natural amphitheatre into the beautiful and famous hillside of Montosoli. The grapes for this wine come exclusively from the 4-hectare single vineyard of Vigna Pinino, where the oldest vines on the estate are planted between 310 and 320 metres above sea level. The vineyards face northwest and northeast, and the lower temperatures encourage the grapes to express finesse. The Vigna Pinino vineyard produces an elegant expression of Sangiovese, producing elegant, medium-bodied wines with wonderful longevity. The 40-year old vines have profound roots which delve into the clay, scheletro and limestone soils in search of nutrients. The vines are trained using a spurred cordon method, producing good-quality fruit. The vineyards are cultivated sustainably and are certified by Agriqualit. Copper and sulphur are the only treatments employed. The grapes are exclusively hand-picked at optimal maturity. |
