- This exquisite wine exhibits a complex and well-defined fragrance characterized by a traditional bouquet with an exceptionally robust, fruit-forward essence. Upon closer examination, you'll discern nuanced hints of licorice and violet, layered with a delicate touch of rich, dark chocolate. The luxurious texture of the wine enfolds a luscious spectrum of ripe, succulent black fruits, ultimately culminating in a delightful and invigorating finish that leaves a lasting impression.
This wine was vinified without the addition of sulphites. The grapes were carefully selected to ensure only the healthiest and highest quality fruit was fermented. The berries were destemmed and vinified with minimal intervention in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks at 20°C. Post-ferment maceration lasted two weeks, with twice-day pump-overs to extract the rich fruit flavours and structure from the tannins. The wine was made without any oak influence to allow the purity of the fruit to shine through and was bottled early.
A Classic Syrah nose with a very intense fruit-driven character, this classy wine shows notes of liquorice and violet complemented by a hint of dark chocolate. A smooth and velvety texture envelops rich black fruits, making the finish lovely and fresh.

Winery | The grapes come from the Château’s vineyard, which is situated 15 kilometres south of Nîmes, near the village of Manduel in the heart of the ‘Appellation d’Origine Protégée’ (AOP) of the Costières de Nîmes. However, winemaker Frank-Lin Dalle has chosen to designate this wine as Vin de France to distinguish the distinctive style of this wine, which has been made without sulphites. The average age of the vines is approximately 25 years. The main characteristic of the vineyard is the soil, which is formed of ‘gress’, an accumulation of rounded pebbles deposited by the overflowing Rhone River thousands of years ago. These pebbles allow the vines to grow in the best possible conditions, and due to this natural soil filter, the vine’s roots can easily draw the necessary water for their growth. The vines also benefit from the Mediterranean sunshine, which brings the grapes to perfect maturity and allows them to be picked at maximum phenolic maturity in early September. |
