Bodegas Ondarre Bodegas Ondarre was founded in 1985 to create wines that showcase the region’s distinct terroirs. Situated in the town of Viana overlooking the Rioja Valley in Rioja Oriental, Bodegas Ondarre is the only winery in the village of Viana. They have formed trusted relationships with the highest quality growers in the area, with whom they have been working since their inception. The Reservas are Bodegas Ondarre’s most acclaimed wines, winning top awards and critical approval annually. They attribute their success to hard work in the vineyards and their continual investment in the winery and barrel stock. They use French and American oak casks to help them obtain the character in their wines. They also produce a few thousand cases of a single varietal, Graciano - a real rarity due to the low-yielding nature of this variety. Finca Bacara Finca Bacara is based in DO Jumilla in Southeastern Spain, a region with high-elevation plains and valleys. Finca Baraca follows a philosophy that wines are inextricably linked to the land and are committed to developing them with minimal environmental impact. The vineyards are farmed organically, and they hold the ISO14001 Environmental certification. The vines are planted at 900 metres elevation and produce vibrant, fresh fruit. Winemaker Luis Javier Pérez has crafted an original series based on the philosophy that ‘Time Waits for No-One’ encourages us to live every moment - time cannot be recovered. The idiosyncratically packaged wines are fruit-driven, highly original and, like time, to be enjoyed and cherished. La Rioja Alta S.A. Combining tradition and state-of-the-art technology, La Rioja Alta, S.A. is an iconic, world-class producer of classically-styled Reserva and Gran Reserva wines, which undergo considerable cask-ageing to achieve La Rioja Alta S.A.'s renowned style. La Rioja Alta, S.A. was founded in 1890 in the old railway quarter of Haro by five families, including the Aranas, the Ardanzas and the Alberdis - their names are now celebrated on each of the Reserva wines. The company gradually expanded, and in 1996, a new purpose-built winery in Labastida was completed, focussing on improving quality and enabling the purest expressions of fruit to be showcased in the wines. Oak is at the heart of the ageing process, and La Rioja Alta, S.A. boasts its in-house coopers who use artisanal methods to produce their own barrels from wood imported from the US and air-dried on-site in Haro. Traditional manual racking occurs by candlelight every six months, and the vines are sustainably farmed.
