- Sabazio showcases a deep, inviting ruby-red colour. The aroma is filled with the fresh, delicate notes of violets and roses, perfectly intertwining with the characteristic scent of cherries. It offers a refreshing and refined experience with velvety, pleasant tannins on the palate. With its warmer climate and a local variant of Sangiovese – Prugnolo – Vino Nobile offers a richer, headier experience than Chianti to the north. The wines have been made for at least 1,200 years; Antinori joined the party in typically impressive style in 1990. The La Braccesca estate straddles Vino Nobile and the neighbouring appellation, Cortona, proving Italy’s most successful appellation for Syrah.
