  • The Cabernet Sauvignon boasts a harmonious and velvety profile, featuring ripe wildberry undertones complemented by delicate notes of cherry and spice. Its refined structure is enhanced by well-integrated tannins, enveloped in a vibrant, spicy freshness, culminating in a lingering and satisfying finish.

The grapes were gently destemmed by a shaking motion, so the whole berries reached the sorting table for careful selection. The best fruit was transferred to concrete vats or stainless steel tanks, where fermentation occurred with selected yeasts under temperature-controlled conditions. The wine underwent malolactic conversion in French oak, resulting in a softer texture. The wine was matured in the second passage, French oak barriques, for six months.

A silky, smooth and beautifully balanced Cabernet Sauvignon with fruity notes of wild berried fruit complemented by hints of cherry and spice. Fine and well-integrated tannins are spicy fresh, which leads to a long, moreish finish.

Winery

The Campo alle Comete winery is at the foot of the Castagneto Carducci hill in Bolgheri. The oldest vines are planted around the cellar surrounded by the Mediterranean bushland. The proximity of the sea, with its constant refreshing breezes, plays an important role in the vine growth and the maturation of the fruit, where the fresh breezes impart natural balancing acidity to the sun-ripened fruit. The Cabernet Sauvignon vines are trained according to the spur-cordon and Guyot methods. The soil is light in texture and sand-rich, warm and airy, with good drainage properties. The vineyard is cultivated following organic principles, mostly involving only copper and sulphur preparations. The grapes are hand-harvested and brought immediately to the cellar for vinification.
