In the 1990s, Marchese Piero Antinori discovered the Haras de Pirque estate, a property then owned by the Matte family. In 2001, he started a joint venture with them to create Albis, the winery’s flagship wine, and helped to enhance the quality of the estate-grown fruit through sustainable and organic vineyard practices. In 2017, the Antinori family acquired the whole property, and they were determined to invest in this exciting new journey fully and created the Galantas Gran Reserva. Today, this brand is known for making one of the best Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenere wines not only in Chile but in the world. The wine estate is in a scenic location known as Pirque, one of the heritage-rich places in the Maipo Valley. Located at the foothills of the Andes Mountains, this estate is blessed with excellent climate, soil quality, terroir conditions and altitudes to grow flavour-rich and intense fruits.
