- The first aromatic impression was candied cherry and strawberry. But this was my first impression and did not return. Over the course of dinner what emerged was aromas of forest floor, soil, dry herbs, cranberry, and incredibly, at one point, the scent of burning metal. Also, a secondary layer of leather was nice. Acid is high which makes it vibrant and easy to drink.
