- (With thanks to Joe Wong and Bonnie Wai). An overtly spicy and beautiful nose shows only traces of secondary fruit and ample Vosne character. There is good richness and mid-palate density to the utterly delicious medium-bodied flavours that display good underlying tension while culminating in a wonderfully complex, lingering and balanced finale. Moreover, it shows none of the sometimes-shrill acidity of the 2002 reds and thus, the overall sense of balance is really quite lovely. I've had this several times, and it has always been good. I would add that this beauty is drinking perfectly now for my taste, but it should continue to hold for at least another decade or perhaps more.
